FABRIC DYEING & PRINTING
This term we are studying fabric dyeing and printing.
You will need to answer the following questions to form the basis of your notes for the semester. You can find the answers on the internet, in the books provided in class and through class discussion.

For your prac this semester you are required to make a furnishings product, using fabric you have dyed or printed yourself. As usual, you will need to submit supporting documentation (your folio).

Sammi's cushion- hand dyed

Grace's wallhanging- hand dyed, roller printing, sun printing, hand felted flowers

Lauren's wallhanging- hand dyed, photo transfer, Inktense pencils

Sara's Cushion-sun printing, roller printing, hand made silk paper

Look on YouTube to get some ideas on different dyeing and printing techniques. This is a good one on block printing.
